General Motors, a classic car company which heads more than 43 car brands,iis in the midst of production of their latest masterpiece. The Cadillac Lyriq, designed as a rival to futuristic competitor Tesla,has decided to forego one of it’s most popular add-on features after suffering a hack in recent years. Four years ago in early 2017, the company took on a feature known as Marketplace,spearheaded by e-commerce giant Amazon,which provided drivers the ability to purchase products and services while behind the wheel. However, according to a company spokesperson, the automake will no longer continue to use the feature.
Currently trading at a record high of $48.60 USD,the Metro Detroit dealer aims to compete with ever changing technology after suffering from years of financial struggles amid bankruptcy just over a decade and a half ago. Posting revenues upwards of $122 billion USD in 2020, GM is set to take the industry by storm as it turns a new leaf in a distraction free, eco friendly, all electric vehicle fleet. Dealerships around the country are already taking reservations as the engineering marvel is expected to amass a fortune.
